Author Topic: Just got RROD on Xbox360 (Read 1406 times)

So yea. I played Xbox 360 with morning and turned it off and left for a few hours. I came back, went to turn on my xbox and bam 3/4 of the ring blinking red. I heard there are some ways to fix it. hao2fix or I could buy a new xbox :I

My Xbox has been in a freezing cold basement. It doesnt even get hot after 3-4 hours of playing.

Have you checked your power block to see what colour the light on it is?

I would buy a PS3, really.
The only things I would ever play on it would be Portal 2 and LBP2.
But those would, in my opinion, make it worth it to get.

Brb checking....when off orange....when on green I un-plugged then plugged back in all the cords.

I would suggest you make sure all of your plugs are fixed in tightly.

Just did...nothing and its weird because it was just working 3 hours ago.

Well you have a few options then.

A. Send your console in for repair. If you don't still have your warranty this will cost money (maybe about £70.)
B. Buy a new Xbox 360/PS3/PC/Mac/WHATEVERGAMINGTHINGYOUWANT
C. Take apart your Xbox and fix it yourself. If you have a bit of knowledge about technical parts this should be quite easy. All you need is a screwdriver and thermal grease (I think).

3rd option I would do first. I can get my friend to do that. and if not Ill just buy a new one.

Btw the 3 lights are the bottom right , bottom left, top right.
