Its usually just the hard drive is fried. Try using a different one, if that doesnt work it might be cause you unplugged a cord.

I thought it had to do with thermal expansion causing the motherboard to crack because it was fitted into the casing to tight.

I'm pretty sure you can take the HDD and put it into another xbox and it'll work just fine.

So on ebay I found a Xbox 360 slim 250gb w/2 games and wireless controller for $200, Top-rated seller and Free shipping. Should I bid?

No, get a PS3. You don't have to pay for online.

Well, why get a PS3 then? You only need 1 of those 2 systems. They both work the same way, and both of them have similar features.

But uh o dwd  nevermind. Lol Hopefully Ill bid on that 360 I saw

If your Xbox overheats or dies, you arent treating it properly. You guys that think Xboxes are stupid or overheat too much are stupid yourselves, not the Xboxes. I've had this same Xbox since '07 and it works fine with no freezing or overhearting. How is this possible? As I said, I treat it right, never tilt it on it's side, never hit it, never leave it on when I'm not playing it, and never get anything inside of it into the electronics. PS3s are the same. They forget up only when you treat it bad. People are just total dumbasses and treat their Xbox badly, so it forgets up. All your fault, dont go telling everyone the Xbox sucks.

I didnt treat mine bad. I bought it refurbished not to long ago :C

PS3 owners just try and find a way to bash Xbox in any way they can. Xbox's and PS3's all have their ups and downs. Just deal with it. I had an RRoD. My parents bought me a new Xbox (the Arcade because it was cheaper and it came with an internal memory) and I just popped my old HDD onto the new 'Box and bam, nice working Xbox with some cool doo-dads included (arcade games forget yeah).
