Author Topic: why do you believe in god?  (Read 19599 times)

I personally think I'm going to be a Youth Pastor or something :u

I believe in God because he's a just and fair God. If he wanted, he could just make us all mindless slaves and make us worship him. But because of the never-ending love he has for us, he allows us to make decisions. If you want an example, let's say you're parents come up to you and ask you a question. They say, "We would like to give you the choice if you want to go to college or not, but we would like you to go either way." This is sort of like God. God gives us the choice to worship Him or not, but he would like you to worship him.

If there was no God, then how do you explain this universe? No other being as powerful as God could make the wondrous beauty of our universe. God made our Earth as perfect as it is. One inch closer to the sun, we would burn up. One inch farther, and we would freeze up. Only a being as smart as God could make that calculation to where to stick our Earth.

I challenge you forumers to read the bible (preferably Matthew), and accept Jesus into your life so that you may come and live in heaven with all the Christians who love God.

    Before I end this comment,
I believe in God because there is a God, and the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus, and ONLY through Jesus.
I say goodbye to you from this topic, Amen.

Or else you will go to hell.

This line here is why I hate every single religion (that preaches it, at least). "MUST BELIEVE, OR ETERNAL BURNING"

I've come out of 17 years of Christian believers just to stand in the middle of the concept. I believe in the possibility, however I'd appreciate some better proof plox (not a witness, not a book, not what you see around you, and any other excuse given).

happy good friday!

But yeah, I believe in god because there are some things that defy all scientific explanation, and will continue to.

Also, what's with all the hate about the catholic church?

Oh yeah don't eat meat on friday. (I think lent passed.)

>Die-hard Christians try to convert die hard religion rejectors
>Give other Christians a bad name
>Try to explain anything as a non-diehard
>Instant generalization all Christians are stupid

Or Alternatively

>All Christians try to push religion on others
>Hate forms, religion rejectors deny everything
>All Christians generalized as stupid

And you guys should all know, a Wizard did it.

I don't like the Catholic Church because it is too formal and their is no sense of social interaction among the church members and the pastor.

Complaining about church being formal is just silly IMO

There is social interaction between the priest and the members of the church (at least there is in my church)

My church has a DJ booth and Lights of different colors. We also have black-lights c:

It's Non-Denominational and I only go there because my friends do.

THEN IT'S A CLUB AND NOT A CHURCH

jk

pretty kul

I believe in God because humans always want something to believe in, whether it's science, logic, God, or anything. We humans will always want something to believe and comfort us, to keep us down or up. Without that, we'd be mindless cavemen attempting to make fire.

I disagree with that, as I don't.

Karma, bro.

I believe in Karma.
