Problem with people joining my servers

Please help me i keep getting problems i made a very,very cool TDM i think a snow TDM then i ask one of my friends to join he said he could not join i told him what was the problem he said that it kept on saying ''Sending punch packet'' and then he said it goes of page and i know what he ment so please help me i could tell him to take a screenshot of the problem and send it to me so please help do i need to portforward because  can i have a Netopia router

You can use UPnP to host servers now instead of port forwarding. To check if UPnP is enabled go into your router settings:

Open any browser...
In the address bar: 192.168.1.1
By default: Username: admin - Password: password
Then there should be a tab called UPnP. Now enable it, and just check if anything would ever stop it from working.

Now also make sure the in-game port to 28000. (By default, it should be this.)

Well  have here is my router details Netopia 2247WNG-EIR and ill see if i can get UPnP to work
