I don't have any antique Lego sets (pity me) but I do have the Lego Book with the history and facts and everything about Lego.

New lego sets are crap... Legos from 2007 and under rock.

Hmmm.
You know, I got a ton of old pieces off of eBay at one point (or is it Ebay? I think it is...) and absolutely adored them. At the time that I got them, they, combined with the Legos I had before, weighed almost as much as I did.

Newer sets can be OK, too, but they aren't really as good. I think the economic situation presses just as hard on Lego as anything else, but Lego doesn't really show it, except for a little downgrading and, of course, making idiotic sets from stupid TV shows etc.

You know what I'd like? If they sold mini-figure sets. I have plenty of bricks but only a cup full of random ones. The majority are star wars. They should sell bags of Pirate, WW2 and Star wars figures.

i hate the new lego, they're just the old sets but with different vehicles and people, like rock raiders and power miners, power miners is crap. and what happened to lego studios i only ever saw 1 set
