Dear Valued COX Communications Customer, It is likely that in your experience with COX Communications you have encountered one of their heinous 404 pages or have been rerouted away from a website you wish to visit. I strongly suggest that you do not use COX Communications' default DNS. If you have a router, you may circumvent their procedures by using Google's. Here it is. Thank me Later, Iban

You have bought one of the better ISP's. But their DNS sucks just as bad as comcasts. In order to prevent this horrifying problem. You must use googles public DNS if you have a router.

That's your router. Most routers can act as DNS servers.

Change the router's DNS addresses.

Its good. But the DNS is just at stuffty as comcasts. Only difference is: Comcast's DNS goes down 25% of the year and its all split up between days. Oh and the fastest i can download is 700kb/s. I was supposed to download 50mb/s. forget Cox's DNS and Comcast's internet.
