Author Topic: Locksburg Community City - SimCity 3000 unlimited  (Read 3029 times)

What is this?
This is a community project based on building a city in SimCity 3000. There are resources not included ingame that I will explain:

Lumber: Needed to build buildings. Different buildings will cost more lumber, you can get lumber by building a lumber mill.

There will be more once I think of it, but for now, let's start. Here are the resources:

Money: 35,000
Population: 0
Lumber: 10,000
Date: 2/10/1900

Now, where shall we build our main road?

Red. It gives us more space and another island.

Red built! Now, I want you to specify what you want built, the area to build it, and that bridge costed 300 lumber, and the entirety of the road costed around 6,000 dollars.

Money: 29,000
Population: 0
Lumber: 9,700
Date: 2/10/1900

Things that need to be built:

Water Containers/pumps
Landfills
Power Plant
Seaport
Commercial Area
Industrial Area
Residential Area

Also, let me explain land values and stuff. If you put residential by industrial that is polluted and stuff, land values will shoot low, and you will have slums. To get high land value and more population, build it near water or railroads or other high-valued areas.

Also, there are three different types of zones: Light, Medium, and Dense. Self Explanitory.

If you want me to elaborate on something, just tell me.

Build a light industrial area on Island C and put a lumbermill there, if possible.

You need trees for a lumbermill, but these are the NECESSARY things right now.

-Power (To fuel the zones)
-Water and water pipes

Now, I can build an industrial zone, and I will, but it won't be useful without roads, power, or water, now would it?

Power available in this time:
-Oil (More money, less polluting, and outputs more power.)
-Coal (Cheaper, pollutant, outputs SLIGHTLY less power.)

Build a road to C, and use oil as power.

how much do geothermal plants cost?

The year is 1900, lol.

Not yet, but in good time Kiddeh.

Also, update!

Still no people, the money left and date is on the bottom. Lumber remains the same.

oh...
why does no one tell me this?

anyway, i do believe oil is more expensive than coal, so i would go with a coal plant

Already built one, silly. An oil, though. You got here late br0

oh

i should get my head out of my ass

well make those water containers i suppose

oh

Where?

K, will update later. But just saying, you might want to rethink that, since...

You know it is next to highly pollutants.
