Sony didn't forget up. I feel they are doing a good job with the situation. It's a shame someone else caused them to shut down the network to investigate

Of course they did. Obviously if people were able to grab people's credits cards and personal information just by unlocking the console then there's a huge hole in their security that they were too ignorant go fix. They probably thought the PS3 would never be "hacked" like it was.
1. Keep people calm
Handling the situation would be telling people immediately so they know to cancel their cards, change passwords, etc.After waiting an entire week, there is practically nothing you can do because the stuff has been charged to your card already
