Author Topic: Softmodding my original Xbox (Read 1089 times)

So, I plan to softmod my original Xbox, if I can get the things to mod it.

With the softmod, I want to be able to play backups, and be able to play burnt games from dvd/cd or burn them to the hard drive. (Also, can you hook a external HDD via a USB to XBOX to burn games to it?) I don't care about other features to be honest, but it would be cool to have them. What dashboard would you reccomend? I need a guide to do it, with the minimal amount of things required to softmod it.

If it counts as piracy, even though I don't think it is, then I'll lock it.

Edit: No hotswapping or other methods requiring opening the Xbox.

I don't/can't play online, plus there are methods to not get banned.
Also, original xbl is shutdown.

Flashing a xbox 360 is a piracy and your console will be banned even if you dont play online. Personaly experience. Oh, and its not as easy as it sounds.
