You're hosting a forum, you can ban whomever you please.
So lets say you become CUCUMBERDUDE. You ban kids who don't know how to operate computers for asking stupid questions in Help, you ban people who post in the wrong forums, you ban all the furries, you ban all the people with poor grammar, you ban all the drama queens, you ban without reason and without cause whenever and however you please. It's your forums, you can.
You probably don't want to. Maybe you hold yourself to some sort of ethical constitution you've signed with yourself and you only ban for specific reasons, with all else being fairing game.
The problem is, however, if you didn't nobody would come here. All the keys you deactivated for hosting poorly and all the people that never came back after being banned wouldn't vouch for your game. You'd kill your own popularity by ruling as an authoritarian dictator (your phrase, not mine) and you'd lose money because of it. Aside from rational thought, this would keep you from going apestuff and canning everyone.
CUCUMBERDUDE and other admins have a similar consequence. If they are bad hosts, nobody comes to their server. He should be allowed to cheat. Other admins should be allowed to make an ass of themselves. If they do, nobody goes to their server. That's how it works. The entire point of letting everyone and anybody host is that there is competition, and the idiots that can't control themselves sink to the bottom of the master server list.
