Just got back from the concert, got a sweet t-shirt, and the show was great. Towards the end I got kinda tired because I forgot to nap before hand...anyway, discuss this band.

There were several guitar solos, all simply incredible, and I was standing right by the guitarist. The drum solo made me ._. and my jaw quite literally dropped. Blake Richardson is a god, and also has long hair now.

The first two bands I was there for were Cephalic Carnage and Job for a Cowboy, and I didn't really like either of them.

So yeah! First, i was going with a couple friends, then I wasn't going, then I was going with a couple different friends, then last minute there was confusion, then my parents were like "Well, we'll drive you." so yay.

They seem like any other screamo band to me.

You always say that, but what makes them different is their integration of off material. Yes, at times, they sound like normal metal. In multiple songs, they have breaks with something entirely different, yet equally as awesome.

Their drummer is one of the best I've ever heard. He's not just fast, he's technically skilled. He does some drum beats with a TI-83 calculator.

"Any other" metal band usually keeps the same rhythm, time signature, and tempo. This band changes it up close to every measure, keeping the song interesting and intricate to follow. Much more fun to listen to than straight up 1, 2, 3, 4. One song I have of theirs that is my ringtone right now counts 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 4 or something like that.

Bottom line, they're not just any 'ol "screamo" band. And they're not screamo.

Thay seem screamo to me. I think they are absolutely terrible, in saying they are better than most screamo bands.

I love their "Colors" album.
