According to this the 9800GT is about twice as good.

Infact, the GT 420 is a large piece of stuff.

I don't speak german. The webpage was German. Or whatever. It was like "Hiner hunker ontern"

?
Congratulations! Now make a topic all about it.

Use the 9800GT video card.

Check for malware, that might slow it down.

If this is all true, and I really hope it's the graphic card's fault, then I'll change it.
It really seems like it is causing the biggest problem.

All of my HP computers suck and are broken. Heck, even one screwed up like 2-3 of my video cards.

I'm having second thoughts about buying an HP computer now D:

I really thought that this PC was a great deal. I really thought that every graphic card over the 9k series was better then the previous ones and that's why I thought that the 420m was probably going to be a loving beast.

Really disappointed of it..
Feels like I got kicked in the nuts by Nvidia, HP and Media Markt (the shop where I bought it from :| ).

Take it back then. And build a REAL pc.

We have Media Markt too lol
Now you mention it, I bought a broken game from there once. Oh wow, they really do suck.

Try putting the 9800GT in, it is better than the GT 420 from what I have heard.
I have a 9800GT, its a good card, but I can't even run the CrCIA 2 Demo on low with out it crashing.

That's some other hardware. You probably have low amount of ram or a bad processor.

That computer resembled my mom's computer as well, which claimed to be a gaming computer but couldn't run TF2 on extremely low settings. I was about to tell you that but then I realized your model had a red LED outline, which my mother's didn't.  In which case, I'm afraid your computer is indeed a piece of stuff until  you install a new graphics card. :c

I could run it well.
