When you're in a populated suburb of Chicago, it is.

I think Xbox is better than PS3, even tough online costs theres no stupid Members thing.

UPDATE: Sony has revealed that though passwords were not encrypted, but they were not stored in the database in cleartext format. Hashing was instead used.

loving stuff.
this doesn't effect any of you probably, but it effects me because SOE runs Everquest and Everquest 2 and other good games.

Stop getting so emotional. If you read their articles, you'd realize they aren't bringing up the whole system at once. They're doing it area by area. That wasn't part of the first startup.

I'm honestly confused. So only some poeple have PSN? Mines still down and so is my friends.

After reading the topic for me its just mega trying to make xbox better than ps. After he gets bashed down by the facts that its more expensive he creates a new argument. Also mega since when was Hi! a comeback. Yeah if you dont have anything smart to say about ps leave the topic.

To everyone that is saying that this could happen to anyone, you're wrong. This happened because of Sony's sub-par online service. They haven't put any money into it and this is what happens. I find it funny that they had such a huge ego to provoke hackers the way that they did and now they seem shocked that they are victims of an attack.

What exactly did they expect was going to happen? You try to convict one of your customers for modding a console that they purchased, and as such is their property to do with whatever they feel like. Then, you go on and provoke an online community that is now infamous for hacking unprotected systems.

I'm not saying it is right for this to happen, it isn't, but Sony deserves this. Sony tried to make an example of hackers and in turn the hackers made an example out of them. If I were a PSN user I would be angry, but then again you get what you pay for.

I'm not an Xbox fanboy by any means, but this just goes to show that XBL is the superior online gaming service. Not only do they offer more services and more selection on XBL, but you can sleep soundly knowing that you will wake up tomorrow and know that you information is safe, and you will be able to play with your friends online.

As for the Sony fanboys who sit there and say that PSN is better because it is free? I have two things to say to you. Not paying for a service means that the company in question gets no income, which in turn means they aren't going to pump money into said service. That leads to events like this and not having the basic features every online service should have, which XBL provides.

The second thing? XBL isn't even that expensive. It boils down to $0.16 a day. I'd pay double to know that my information is safe and that I am able to talk to my friends across games. ;)
