You don't need to be rich for a decent computer.  A good computer that can run those two at highest settings will probably cost you maybe $500, even $400 if you have parts you can use over.

BF2 is from 2005, and wasn't even a very demanding game. Just get a computer that was built some time after the turn of the century and you should be fine.
