Trifax's Cozy Cottage

I think this would make a nice summer home somewhere. I worked on this on and off for about a week, spending probably 5 or 6 hours on it total. I had a little help from Monocle (Beachbum) and Magick Mage (<3 you both) and without further delay, here's the finished project!

+Overview+

+Entry Hallway+

+Den/Living Room+

+Kitchen/Dining Room+

+Closet+

+Stairwell/Study+

+Deck+

+Bedroom (no bed apologies)+

That's all! Feel free to rate, and please leave some constructive criticism. I'm always looking to improve.

8/10, Great job

the only thing i dont really like is the walls, they dont give it a cottage feel, more of a Large home feel :o

I like the den/living room the most. The exterior is nice but looks odd in the method of which you gave the walls detail (namely the windows - the front(?) door seems kind of out of place as well). I like the variety of color on the bricks.

Make a grill and some lounge chairs on the deck. and a Bed!

Very nice, I should build more curved, would do me a world of good.

I love to use wallpapers like that in my cottage builds... however, not in every single room.
The deck shouldn't use wooden tiles like that. It's wrong.
And the outside looks abit unrealistic.

Alright, i guess. How does the outside look unrealistic? It's supposed to be kind of extravagant.

What other wall patterns would you suggest? I thought it fit each room well, but what do I know.

I also fail to see what's wrong with the deck. How would suggest I make the deck?

Not enough detailed, and the spots on the ground really look unnatural.

A wall made out of rocks, 1x4f's or whatever.

Dunno, but it does look a bit odd.

Also, It's a bit too boxy.

If you take it this way, have you ever seen a house that looks similar to this? Especially the roof.. and path looks wrong.

For the wall, sometimes it's enough with a simple wall... no need of those patterns of yours.

The deck shouldn't use wooden tiles. No motivation.

There's nothing wrong with the actual deck design, imo, but it needs something like a chair or two, or a grill, etc... the outside; the only thing that looks a tad bit unrealistic is the windows, but come on Guys, this Blockland, Not real-life Blocks. EDIT: i like the use of colors, Though.

I don't really care about realism, unless I'm specifically going for a realistic design.

If you want realistic design, go to school for architecture.

I'll add some stuff to the deck and update the OP at some point here...

I honestly think it looks fine, and see nothing but minor problems with it.
But what would I know?
