A developer was asked about Mantis Men, and he said he couldn't say anything. It was implied they might consider them appearing in Portal 3, but there is absolutely no plans as of yet. They don't want to say either way until they themselves know if it's plausible.

But I, myself, would say it's in the pile of stuff they might pull out of to use in the next game.

Well, the Mantis Men experiment was within the facility. Unless that fight was the cause of the teleportation accident, I doubt they'd be on the ship.

Do you think the teleportation accident and the mantis men happened around the same time? The facilities timeline is about even with the distance to the surface, and the ship was much higher up.
