I noticed alot of people come to my server daily, so I got the idea of starting this topic, considering this is General Discussion, where you talk about
anything related to Blockland!
First of all, I want to share a very sad story with alot of people that made me give up hosting for about half a year to a year.
Back in '09, I always hosted my FalloutRP, and I was pretty much
forced to have my player limit over 25 ever day (Well, it was either that or get people spamming me on IRC asking to let them in my server). My FalloutRP was my biggest build ever; and my best. It contained a little 'vault cave', or the cave leading to the Vault (being Vault 67 in the RP). The door was locked and told you that you cannot re-enter the Vault, as if you already played through the RP and exited the vault. The cave was amazing. I had this
very far from the rest of the stuff so nobody saw the ugly outside of it (It was only an inside build, or a build that you're only supposed to see the inside of.). Everyone spawned inside the cave in front of the Vault as 'Vault Dwellers'. Once you walk out the Screen Door, that had a tan GlowFX brick on the other side of it as if bright light were shining through it, you were set into the 'Wastelanders' team. At least, a Chat Message client said "%1 has exited the Vault to join the wastelanders!". Anyway, it removed you from all teams (God knows how I did that. I dont remember) and set you outside the cave. There was a scenic overlook that I copied from when you exit the Vault in Fallout 3, and as you walk down the hill you come up on a bridge that lead you across the water (This is on Apocalyptic Wasteland) to get to Megaton (It looked loving nothing like Megaton, I just liked the name), which was a very well-build, detailed city with stores in it that used CashModII to buy items. All the doors were evented to teleport you to inside of a small black box and set you as a non-moving playertype, and gave you a client that did this:

Anyway, outside of Megaton was another brick that lead to the other part of the map that contained the Brotherhood of Steel base which had a power station and an armoury. Near that was a metro entrance that had the 'Loading' client events aswell. That brung you to a little metro that contained a long walk and some boxes. Behind some was a double barrel shotgun and a bot that sells you a cheap revolver.
Outside of the other end was the heart of Super Mutant activity; 6 or 7 buildings filled with wandering Super Mutants with miniguns, rifles, and shotguns.
That's all there was.
Now for the sad part.
My computer crashed after about a month of hosting it.
I lost everything. I lost all my add-ons, I lost all my saves, I lost my FalloutRP.
Since I stopped hosting, my reputation as a great host dropped dramatically. I started hosting again, and ever since then I've been hosting.
* UPDATE Now to recent times.
I host a Fort Wars, as mentioned before. I dont use any special maps. I just cover a large area with 64x64s and make some lots here and there. I make just enough lots to suit the needs of visitours.
Here's where you guys come in.
I want to make my server alot better. I want to make an awesome map that has lots like I have right now, maybe a large valley, somewhat like AeroMcFly's. Aero helps me with stuff, but he's very lazy and never motivated to build when I ask him to. I need some help with some of you.. rather better builders out there. If you agree to help me build, I'll add you to this list following this paragraph.Now I normally host my modern RP. Info on reviews at the bottom of OP.I host Freebuild / RP servers, and you may Freebuild, RP, or both. Minigames are allowed for RPs. I also host Post-Apocalyptic Freebuild / RP servers.

higher class Blocklanders to take a look at my modern city RP (if any of you have seen it before). So far, as of 5/15/11, I've had 3 people do it. I'll start keeping a list of who reviews it.

- Side note on his review: He commented on props inside one of the two eateries. Then I come in all culbro and explain why props aren't as bad as people say they are, and how you cant make forks with bricks. Don't mention prints. That's just loving stupid. And, for plates, 2x2R plates are just.. 'lifeless'.

Update! 5/25/11I'm gonna start hosting pixel art servers.. at least for a week or two.. until I get some motivation to build more stuff. Keep an eye on the server status!
