The only flame I've really thrown out was calling you autistic facetiously. I'm not at all upset over a typo you made on your iPod, you told a completely unnecessary lie to explain away a measly typo and then started acting like a condescending richard as you fed me bullstuff.

I'm not pulling my iPod out of my closet and waiting for it to charge on it's half-broken battery and take forever to boot up because of that just to prove you wrong.

If you want proof, go use iOS. Prove me wrong. I've won this argument until you can prove what I'm saying is false. Get an iPod Touch running iOS 4.0, jailbroken with redsn0w with the Japanese keyboard enabled and prove me wrong, and I'll say you win.

By your logic, if I made the claim that pigs levitate when smothered in maple syrup and laid on their back for 15 minutes, my claim would be true until you went out and doused a pig in pancake syrup and held it on its back for 15 minutes. You can't prove something is true through lack of evidence, I posted my evidence and it's backed with common sense and rationale, yours is based on a claim that your specific phone running a specific OS has a telepathic spell-checker with no evidence at all in in the claim's favor.

For Android root users, if you're not on a custom ROM already that has it, you should probably download and install the Terminal Emulator, as it will help out quite a bit for root stuff.

You can find the Terminal Emulator on Market, as well as on the Internet (and the sources, if you wish to compile it yourself). Optionally, if you want to install BASH (I recommend it, it's better than the default shell called Busybox), follow the instructions here.

Also, I'd recommend checking out CyanogenMod, one of the best community-built Android Open Source ROMs out there for quite a variety of rooted devices.

Hey Stocking, if you really feel the need to try to tell Miga just how wrong he is, don't loving do it here. This isn't a "prove Miga wrong" topic, I don't know if you knew that or not, but in case you didn't, now you do. I would be saying the same to Miga but he actually had the sense to shut the forget up about it.

Now, back on topic, Miga, what Android phone would you recommend? I need a new phone but not something insanely expensive.

I'm no expert on the phones themselves...
On the note of CyanogenMod, be aware that flashing is a rather unstable buisness and can seriously screw up your phone.
Be sure to know everything on the subject before doing it.
