I'll tell you what makes this different. My Little Pony is one show, but how many shows is anime? That's right, it's multiple shows. I have a problem with My Little Pony, not cartoons in general.

That's a really flawed argument against MLP. Cardcaptor Sakura was a show aimed at little girls, but I bet more grown men watched it compared to little girls.

I hate my little pony as much as the next guy, but seriously nobody complains about loving anime avatars, furry avatars or even those old fox avatars.

They need to stop whining about ponies, and untill then I refuse to change my avatar.

Furry avatars have been dealt with.
Foxes don't seem to annoy a lot of people.
Anime avatars probably caused a stuffstorm in the past and were dealt with. If not, then a lot of people aren't annoyed by them.
