5'8 or 5'7. Dunno really, I weigh 140 pounds. lol.

Here's what I recommend

Do 3 sets of pushups with 10-25 in each set.
Do 3 sets of situps with 10-25 in each set
Do 3 sets of pullups with 2-5 in each set (remember pullups are with an overhand grip, head behind the bar)
And possibly 3 sets of chinups with 6-12 in each set.

Then alternate cardio whenever. That routine is what we used to do for Kungfu, and it got me in to shape pretty quickly. It'd be better to specialize workouts for specific muscles at a gym, but for a beginner this is a good all-rounder start.

Edit: And start stretching.

the thing is you have to eat right while exercising, you cant just work out and eat like a pig.

You're like a twig. Lol Im 5'5 and weigh 115 :O
22nd percentile in BMI

According to science I'm healthy :D

That's another good point. Don't go on a national socialist diet though, because you'll never be able to stick to it. Ease yourself into better eating.

If you're serious about this, protein 30minutes to an hour after each workout is important. Chew 'dem nuts, boy.

I don't want to be ripped.

I just want to be healthy enough to not topple over from a heart attack/cancer of the everything

Who wouldn't want to be able to kick and tree and knock down like 20 apples.

There's gotta be some trick to it, like knowing how hard you need to kick it to knock all the apples down, and easy enough so as not to break the tree.

I suggest buying 10lb weights to lift while you do hands free things, like watch TV

Here's the thing Seventh; doing cardio and pushups isn't going to bulk you up alone. My routine is a good starter, but even that won't bulk you up much. Go to a gym and get someone to take a look at you and your goals, see what they recommend.

Gyms aren't scary.

work out videos are always good too.

Okay then.

I'll bring a towel so I don't get swine flu from sweat on benches.
