You don't need Half - Life 2 to see the HL2 stuff in Gmod, the content comes pre-installed.
Just get the CSS + Gmod pack for super cheap. You'll be able to see important CSS stuff and HL2 stuff.

When you buy a PC, you know you have a perfectly good chance to look at what comes with it, right?

Intel GPUs are meant for business/everyday use (inernet browsing, just general PC use), not gaming. They won't stop making GPUs because they offer low-end GPUs that are excellent on battery to those who need it.

So, basically, don't complain about how nothing runs because you had a perfectly good chance to look a what came with it and threw that chance away. Any smart person knows not to get a computer with Intel graphics if they want to game.

So basically, yeah. Don't complain. Just get a new GPU, or a new laptop if you bought a laptop expecting to do games on it.

When I look at the requirements for modern PC games, I most of the time have a computer that meets all of the EXCEPT FOR THE GODDAMN INTEL GRAPHICS CARD.
I really hope that damn thing isn't integrated.

And yes, you can run CS:S on an Intel graphics card. I think you can run all valve games laglessly on one (I'm not sure about portal 2, though, I haven't been able to unlock that on my steam account due to richardhead hackers taking down PSN.)

Yeah, if you have an Intel GPU don't expect greatness.  I have an Intel 965, aka GMA X3100 in my current laptop now and it can handle a few games okay like Red Alert 3, Civ4 and Minecraft.
