With the server package, you don't get the whole server, you get a server running on our servers.
That's just overkill.

You don't know too much of the game and don't even play it.

That's just overkill.

You don't know too much of the game and don't even play it.

Actually, I do play it, my BL_ID is 5368, and thank you very much I know quite a bit about this game. And how is having a server running on our servers overkill?

What are you doing a VPS?

I was asking whether or not the number was over how much you set, or how much you have.

EXAMPLE:

Server/Computer has 24GB RAM.

You devoted 512MB of RAM using:

java -Xincgc -Xmx512M -jar craftbukkit.jar (For Bukkit)
or
java -Xincgc -Xmx512M -jar minecraft_server.jar
or
You used the GUI, which is a horrible way of hosting.

THEN:

Your process went over either:

A. Your physical RAM: 24GB
B. Your set RAM: 512MB

You get it, can you please tell me which one it is now?
My physical and set ram were both 512MB.
I didn't use a GUI.
I used java -Xincgc -Xmx512M -jar craftbukkit.jar

Why else would I have to check task manager to see how much memory is being used?

And how is having a server running on our servers overkill?

Using a VPS is just not appropriate for a single Blockland server

kalphiter can host up to 99 players perfectly through the power of renting.
you're bragging about 2-3 players.
what.

Hell when I talked about hosting in the minecraft topic, people suggested 6-8 GB of RAM.

That's Minecraft...

Exactly, so why are you saying mine is overkill? Mine is not a VPS.

I'm not bragging about that, someone talked about my Minecraft servers with 256MB of RAM (The smallest package), they said it won't work, but it does.

My physical and set ram were both 512MB.
I didn't use a GUI.
I used java -Xincgc -Xmx512M -jar craftbukkit.jar

Why else would I have to check task manager to see how much memory is being used?
Well what processor(s) do you have?
That's Minecraft...
Thank you.

well, hell, in case the vacuum in your wallet is beginning to take your eyes out, this is blockland forums and we don't really care about that. hell this is drama, no one here wants to see your advertisement stuff.

Well what processor(s) do you have?
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ / 2.17 GHz
Data bus speed 333.0 MHz
Type L2 cache
Installed Size 512.0 KB
Cache Per Processor 512 KB

It wasn't good, but I was initially able to run the server smoothly with 5-6 players. It didn't start to run poorly till about a month of hosting it.

Alright, at this point it has became more of a debate than an advertisement.

Processors take a large roll in hosting, as well as RAM. And about it running poorly after a month, it could very well be a component of your computer going bad.

You're complaining about a non-existent problem.

Okay, how about this.

Give me a week trial of hosting for Blockland. We'll see if it runs good or not.

No. Because I could start a new world and it would run smooth again.

You're complaining about a non-existent problem.
To which somebody will offer a non-existent solution to.
Just wait...
