PCs are upgradable Xbox's.
Except one gets exclusive games.

I don't have a ridiculous amount of money to spend on games and upgrades.

forget the pc.
Ok, you can go ahead and finally leave the forums I guess.

Have fun typing on your stuffty mobile device, or your Wii whatever the forget.

Price wise, I would much rather buy an Xbox 360 over a gaming computer. The Xbox 360 was made in 2005, and will continue to get new games until 2015. Ten loving years, and I don't have to upgrade stuff every time something new comes out. Graphics are only decent, however, and most, if not all the time, you can't change the settings. If you have a giant-ass pile of money and don't mind spending it all at once, you can get a PC that can run games on their highest settings for a year or two... then dish out another few hundred or thousand all over again. Only time I had to spend money to upgrade was when I switched from the 360 Pro to the 360 Slim, which are around five years apart.

I see it the same way.

PC

$800 computer + $60 in games + $50 accessories/upgrades = $910

Xbox 360

$200 console + $120 for a couple games to last a while = $320

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Might I also point out lots of PC games are also on consoles, though I must admit PC has some great exclusives.

So...cost-wise, xbox wins.

tl;dr:  Poor people play consoles, rich people play on the PC.

tl;dr: People who like to manage their money better, and make their gaming more cost-effective play Xbox, rich idiots who can find nothing better to do with their money than to burn it all on the latest computer that will be outdated in a year play PC.

Fixed.

Oh yeah, take in the smell of PC elitism.
It smells like stuff.

Fixed.
I bought a Core i7 with a GTX460 and 6GB of RAM, plus a mobo, and a HDD, and a DVD drive.  And a red LED fan and red lights for stuffs and giggles.  Total: ~$1000.  I also only bought the HDD and DVD drive because I was running out of room on my 160GB and the new mobo didn't support IDE DVD Drives.

For about $500 or less, you can get a quad core, new motherboard, a nice graphics card and 4GB of RAM.

You don't have to upgrade it with every new generation of Intel processors that come out or whatever.  I'm probably not going to upgrade my processor and RAM for a LONG time simply due to the fact that they don't need an upgrade.  GPUs, however, are really flexible for upgrading depending on how much you dish for it.

Oh and keyboard and mouse.

In other words; you are all mad because other people have better computers.

I've had my PC since 2008 and it can still run pretty much anything today.

You don't need a high-end PC from today to play recent games either.

PC gets almost all of the great indie titles. Who needs exclusives when you've got $10 games that are extremely fun?
