PC vs. XBOX360

lol there is no such thing as a pc exclusive.
a console exclusive means that publisher is being paid to only release the game on their system.


a game being only on the pc just means that developer/publisher requires a high quality game, and/or doesn't want to deal with the extra licensing or the bullstuff online stuff that the consoles require.

Also, PC gamers can't like, walk at varying rates.  I have always found that extremely odd, basically you are either walking or running, nothing in between.

Really though, some of my best memories with my friends have been with consoles.  Me and my friends would sit tense as forget in front of his tv playing hardcore games of Super Smash Bros Melee with us 3 and his little brother.  We would play Kirby Air Ride and just forget around for hours trying to complete the courses faster than the other.  We played Cod: 4, 5, and MW2 like crack whores who needed their fix.  Sly Cooper, Golden Axe, Jak, Halo, and Mario Sluggers, Soccer, and Galaxy.

All on the couch.  You can't get that with a pc, really.  I really did love it. c:

console gaming died out after the psx and n64 days i say. they were the prime consoles (including older ones) these games were unique to pc games.

then the console industry just just went pc-copy-cat at lower quality, so i quit buying consoles.

That's one thing I do admire the consoles for.  Easy coop, but splitting the screen is annoying IMO.

It'll be easy for Portal 2.

still, consoles are good for what they do. it's all about personal taste. i know plenty of people who play COD on a pc who hate it on an XBOX and vise versa. i like fps's on console because they look easier to play. i like rpg's on console and pc. sandbox games are better on pc. it all boils down to what you like. still, it's like comparing spoons and forks because they have different strengths and weaknesses.

Like other people have said it's simply a money thing. Console gaming is way cheaper. Sure, you may be able to get a decent computer for just a little more than a console, but after a couple years you will lose the graphical/performance advantage of using a PC if you don't upgrade.

Holy jesus, you cannot compare a specific console to a general thing like a PC.  First of all, the Xbox 360 is about the equivalent of a cheap, sorta decent PC.  It is optimised to play xbox 360 games and nothing else.  My PC right now is much faster than an xbox 360.  The only reason to get a game for a console as opposed to a PC is that it is cheaper, NOT more cost effective, but cheaper, and that it is easier to keep a one task console running at a decent speed as opposed to a PC that can run hundreds of programs at once.  It seems that the OP is completely biased against PS3's, which are better than xbox's in literally every way.  1.4x the processor speed, more HDD, a better online network, designed to function like a PC at the cost of a console.  Anyway, get the xbox for when gears of war 3 comes out.
