Author Topic: I require help with my headset  (Read 795 times)

I have a Dynex Dx-28, a cheap little headset, but it gets the job done. Anyways, it has a microphone, and it works FINE on my windows 7 PC, but on my Windows XP computer, the speakers on it work, but not the microphone. On Skype when I try to configure it, the only device that shows up is the internal sound card thing, and not the headset itself. Since Dynex support is stuff, and I couldn't find anything on Google about it, I decided to ask you guys.

Also, some additional information, it doesn't require drivers nor show up on the device manager list.

The microphone probably can't support windows xp.

Why would it just be the microphone that isn't supported if the speakers work on it?

Does it have 2 different plugs? Or just one? Some headsets have 2 plugs, one for the headphones and 1 for the mic. That would be the reason. if it is just one, I can't help you
