Have BLIDs existed since the game began? Or were they put in the game after all of the copyrighted "Lego" content was removed? Just wondering...

I think it was when retail came out.

Ever since Retail came out they have existed, and this probably belongs in General Discussion.

They existed before it began I believe. It basically just tells what number purchaser you are. For example, if you were the 245285th person to buy Blockland, that would be your ID.

v1-19
One time payment for multiplayer and lifetime updates.

Ok clarification: when V1 existed was it the same as featured in sampapa's "things to do in blockland" 1-3 or like the BL in 4-5?

There were a series of versions which featured Lego minifigure-like avatars and after that had avatars that resembled armless, legless rayman like blockheads (the ones we use today).

Basically I'm asking did BLIDs exist when we had Lego minifigures for avatars? It can't get any clearer so if I get another halfassed answer I'm locking this thread (not that it matters to you).

Those "lego minifig" models are the old, completely outdated and unpopular version of Blockland.  Playing it is just absolutely a waste of time considering the game doesn't start becoming laggy around ~800-900 bricks if I'm remembering correctly.  Oh, and its full of kids who don't want to pay money for our shiny retail game.

Once those armless, legless rayman like blockheads were released in what we have today, aka "Retail" Blockland (now just referred to as Blockland), the ID system was put into use to prevent identity fraud.

Hey, that version was GOOD.
