Author Topic: Mac Hosting: Crashes Periodically while hosting server  (Read 652 times)

Whenever I host, my server can handle around 4-5 people before Blockland panics and then closes. This will happen under the any of following conditions

Hosting a minigame

having more than 4-5 people

After setting a default minigame

leaving a minigame that I am hosting

I've tried setting it to minimal addons, but so far this hasn't worked. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am unfamiliar with Mac so I would suggest you get a PC.

Macs are good for everything but gaming.

Your right again PLEX, anyway back to the problem does your computer have a slow internet connection, are downloading something, do you not have enough ram?

It's a Mac defect. All Mac's seem to do this. I will host a server for 10 minutes, then the whole thing crashes.

I have trouble-shot this serveral times. No, I didn't have anything downloading, and my internet is only moderately fast. I have enough ram. NOTE: If your unfamiliar with a mac, please don't post suggestions. They're not helpful. This on the other hand, might be:

Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000000bf104ffc
Crashed Thread:  0  Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

I use a Mac and I have never seen that before. :/

The reason you have never seen this before is because this was in the additional information when it said "blockland crashed unexpectedly."

Maybe RAM failure?

Try doing a hardware test with your Mac OS X CD.

But I can't know this for sure.

What's the entire error log?
