Well my little brother recently rented it, and is currently watching it as I type this.
I saw this maybe about 4-5 months ago, and now that I think about it....
Why the hell did people think that this movie was so scary? I mean most of it is just suspense not actual fright.
There was really only one part that scared me and that was the ending :l
So yeah...

discuss or something...

/sortofarant...

Scary movies give me nightmares

Ghosts.

Dem ghosts...

Reminds me of The Hidden Source

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2
NOW FAILING IN THE BOX OFFICE NEAR YOU

It's psychological horror. The fright is in the subtlety, that there is no tangible villain, nothing you can fight, all you can do is helplessly watch a "normal" family be terrorized. The worst part is that if you come from a family that believes in the paranormal, you're predisposed to view it as something that could potentially happen in your house. Sure there's "jump" moments, but these two movies legitimately terrified me - and I've never been legitimately scared by a movie before - on a completely different level.

Insidious, enough said.

Not much of a screamer.

That sounds nice? O-o

I never went to see that on the account of th first one being so bad.

I never really thought of it that way, but yeah I do see your point. I guess it just didn't affect me as much as others.

That was a stuff movie.

Paranormal Activity was scary, just not my type of movie.

It's weird, I'm usually an easily frightened type of person when it comes to scary movies, but this just couldn't get to me :l

I love you.

This movie was serious scary. And to all you IT'S NOT SCARY BECAUSE THERE ISN'T GORE AND MANIACS ON A KILLING SPREE people, shut up. Those kinds of movies are bull stuff.

suspense is what is scary.
a ton of gore and screaming is like......meh, action film.

I never said gore and screaming is what makes a good scary movie.
A good scary movie imo is a balance of suspense and jumps, not just suspense.
Gorey movies are usually cheesey anyways.

Suspense like this movie gets my heart rate up a little bit, but the only part that really scared me was the very end.

The rest of the movie, I would say, was the top comedy of the year.

suspense is what is scary.

Blood and gore in your face isn't scary, exactly. I've been in a haunted forest thing twice for the last two halloweens, and the director does a good job of limiting us to messing with people's heads, and just being in places people wouldn't expect. Lol people flip stuff sometimes over stuff that wouldn't normally be scary but...you have to be good at it like me.
