So yeah I'm eating a bag of spicy chips, and while I like how they taste, too much is just painful. I don't want to keep getting up to get another glass of water, are there any other ways to stop the lasting pain from eating spicy food?
Besides milk. I'm not eating potato chips with milk. That's gross.

Problem solved, salt saves the day!
Talk about spicy food.

I've actually been able to stop the burning by keeping water near me at all times, and then sticking my tongue in it when I'm burning.

Keep water with you. Eat one, then sit still until the pain dies off. Eat again, then continue the process.
Water is for emergencies.

EDIT: You can keep your tongue out. Makes it go away easier.

DO you have a skype or steam.
Ontopic Drink milk

What flavor?

Individual chips are nothing, but after about three handfuls, it starts to add up. And the sum of three handfuls is ouch.

Drink milk

I like to drink milk with everything :/

Water makes it worse, drink milk, it works great for jalapeños, so it should work on chips.

Here's an idea-don't eat spicy food if it pains you.

Or you can drink soda with it.
I love doing it because it makes my tongue feel funny.

water spreads it around

milk kills it

No I don't, but I can get it.

On-topic: I've eaten jalapenos directly and survived with water.

I like how the CHIPS taste, but I don't like the painful aftertaste.

Also I've got a bowl of salt next to me and i just sprinkle some on my tounge after it gets bad and it seems to stop it somehow. Guess that solves that. This thread can just be about spicy food then.

Have you ever gotten a large pepper-flake stuck between your gums before?

Milk.

Lots and lots of milk.
