Bullstuff. The Bible is meant to be read as an account of history, you can't denounce passages by saying "OH THAT ISN'T MEANT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY", as if Jesus Christ was a metaphor or some horse stuff.

A passage has meaning and it does contain metaphors, it doesn't necessarily need to be taken as an account of history.

I'm not atheistic or religious. If there's a god up there, so be it. I'm drinking my juice and typing on my computer right now, and whether I'm under the watchful eye of a man in the sky or my brain power is being harvested by aliens and this is an alternate reality, all is well.
