Enough of Inb4thelock, this might take a while trying to remember where I put my key. I had it written down somewhere.

Thank you. But I cannot find the key or the disk.

D'oh!

I once lost my Simcity 4 disk for 2 entire years after we moved. Then I found it in my Gran Turismo 3 case. Oops.

The little forgeter ate it!

Time for dissection.

I've never played PC versions of TS2 or TS3, but I have always loved The Sims 1 and its been so central to my childhood haha. I don't think I'll ever stop playing it; isometric 2D worlds forever. <3  People are still making content for it, you know.

(TS3 is awesome though, not denying that).

Wish i chould play the Sims 1.
Too bad i lost the disk too.

Was it installed on another computer somewhere? If so, at your own risk, you can take the keygen from the registry editor of that PC:

Ahem, at your own risk:

On the computer you have it installed on.

1 Click on Start > Run

2 Type "regedit" (without the quotes)

3 In Registry Editor look in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Electronic Arts
The Sims 2
ergc

4 The install code will be listed in the Data column.
Just be extremely careful when you are in regedit.
Do not change anything or you can cause major problems.

I can't find Electronic Arts in the SOFTWARE folder.
