The fence is hard to balance on, too, as it is a thin partition between every single belief system that I have run into.
Most of the time, basically, you either ask for the help of something that no-one has found scientific proof for the existence of, or you go around telling people that they aren't believing in the right thing, or both.

present tense is the form to use in that sentence
