Although the Universe could implode or dissipate at any time, it seems that it's still expanding at near the speed of light in every direction. Dark Energy/Matter is the reason for that according to a recent report.

Our laws of physics are just those of the Universe we reside in. Before our universe was created, no laws governed it. If no laws exist, spontaneous generation is theoretically possible.

All stars will burn out eventually, and only dim dwarf stars will remain, until everything is accelerated to roughly the speed of light, and nothing is visible. Then a long wait for a series of opportunistic particle collisions.

But when the larger stars die and become nebulae more stars will form, then those larger ones will become nebulae, so on and so forth. Unless, if a black hole was there...
