My server has the most recent public download of RTB from the website, and it works fine with it.
And I have the beta v4 version of RTB on my client (different computers, btw) yet even though both copies of RTB seem to work, I have no "server control" button on my escape menu ingame.
Why?

You were either not super admin, had a conflicting add-on, or were not on an RTB server.

The server, mine, definitly had the add-on, and the server list said "yes" under the RTB column.
And I was definitly super admin, but what do you mean, conflicting add-on? I had pratically defaults.

Client sided add-ons.
I've heard of DRPG client screwing with RTB4, and older versions screwing with RTB3.

If the server is running RTB3, RTB4 will consider it a different version (of course) and think that it doesn't have RTB Server Control. This has already been submitted on Trac and will be fixed next beta.
