Author Topic: I have done everything right but I still can't host correctly  (Read 1282 times)

I have done everything in the guide here (including firewall issue), but I still can't host.
Actually, it seems that some people can join. Not a lot of people, but some.
Unfortunately that's not good enough because none of my friends can join.

Help me :(

Try this tutorial instead? http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=35187.msg533436
It doesn't have my router.
So anyway Blockland searches for some UPnP stuff, or whatever, and then it finds my printer. It tries anyway. Nope.
There is no trace of UPnP in my router, so yeah. What do?

I also have the --- ping problem.

in the guide here (including firewall issue)
That guide only tells you how to forward your ports on the router. What it doesn't say is that you also have to open those ports in your computer's firewall. So if you port forwarded 28000-28032 in the router, you'd also have to unblock them in the computer's firewall. The firewall would be something like Windows Firewall, Norton, McAfee, etc.

dosnt have your router. but isnt there a same brand, ALMOST the same model option to use instead?

the samsung superrouter 2600 will more then likely be all the same software and options as the samsung superrouter 2800

Yeah, I did that, but... 28032? What's this?

How do I know?

Actually, you only need port 28000. Not 28000-280xx

Blockland happens to need information coming from ports 28000 to 28030 so your router must be told to send all information for those ports, to your Blockland game.

?

Did you put in the wrong server IP address?

I used 28000 and 28000 and I have ping..

Where?

Really. Well, good for you.

Where?
Well in the port settings you need to put in your computers server IP address. This is what tells your router "This computer wants portforwarding service."

Easily find your server IP with the following:
1. Press Windows Key+R.
2. Type "cmd"
3. Then type "ipconfig", then *enter*.
4. Now look by IPv4, this is what your server IP is. (Ex: 192.168.1.4)

That IP should go into your port settings. Under "LAN Address", or "Server IP". (However your router works)
