Seeing as I'll be doing most of the editing, I'll answer this as well. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 for most general editing and Adobe After Effects CS5 for special effects. I also use GIMP and Photoshop CS5 (mainly Photoshop) for any graphic design that needs to be done.
As a side note, I will add that none of the mentioned programs are pirated (you can't even pirate GIMP, it's free); as for my Adobe programs, I purchased the CS5 Production Premium at the student price of $500 (normal is $1700 last time I checked).
I'll be doing the basic editing with Vegas Pro 10. I might add some touches of my own, like the motion blur since that's pretty easy.
