Author Topic: Ever hear of an orange?  (Read 945 times)

I was at the airport, waiting with my family for our flight. I ask my parents to go check out the gift shop, and they said it was fine. Inside the shop, I came across this man who seemed confused. He saw me and explained (to the best of his ability) that he was from another country (somewhere in the middle east?) and didn't speak English very well. He then pointed to some oranges and asked what they were. I explained that they were oranges, and that you eat them. He then bought one and tried to eat it like an apple, skin and all. He was disgusted at the taste and asked how we could eat such a terrible food. I took the orange from him, peeled off the skin, and showed him that you eat the inside of it. He tried eating it, and his face lit up. He started speaking excitedly in whatever language he spoke, and apparently thought it was delicious, because he bought more and left the store.

Discuss foreigners and their ignorance of fruits.

Tl;dr- I met a foreign person who didn't know what an orange is.

I once met a person who shoved a banana up their ass.

you should have told him that you're supposed to eat the skin
