I salvage my own wrecks that I make, yeah. lol
I don't go hunting for wrecks or anything, not yet anyway. To be completely honest I don't actually know what extent people take salvaging to because I always hear people say it's a waste of time.

It probably is in Caldari Space.
Over here in Gallente Federation, people sometimes make millions of ISK off of one wreck.
Problem is a lot of times you need to go into lowsec

And Skip, my corp is going through a setting up a PoS and to get their standings with Gallente high enough to set it up they did a corp flush.  Everyone was relocated to a temp corp, hopefully after a day or so everything will be all good

Well we are a Gallente based corp, and sometimes fly into Caldari Space.  But that's why we did the flush, so the members with enough good standings would be the only ones left, so the ability to build the PoS could be achieved, then we all flood back into the corp and it goes back to what it used to be, which isn't enough to build a PoS.

But yes, you probably want your Gallente + Caldari standings up

Do not. I repeat. Do not join either Militia.  But what you need to do is find the Caldari/Gallente space border zone, and run missions along each side of it, start running lvl 2's if you haven't already.

Don't do any missions where they want you to kill another of the 4 factions ships. Just skip those missions and take the little standings hit.
They forget you over in the long run.

Salvaging can be extremely lucrative if you do it right. Learn to ninja other peoples L4 mission sites in a mission running hub and you'll make boatloads.
It all depends on what you salvage - the salvage from an L4 mission ranges from 5-20mil, the salvage from a C3 wormhole sleeper site can be in the range of 10-100mil.
