the smart fortwo has a neolithic transmission, tiny tires, godawful handling, an engine that belongs in a lawnmower, it's too tall, and too narrow. top gear did a handling test on the fortwo, and when going around a chicane it plowed straight through it and went off the track because the thing just can't handle turning at any speed from the stuffty tires.

the smart roadster on the other hand, is a great handling car, but it wasn't sold in the states before production stopped.
