I don't think that's the case, but by all means prove me wrong. Dancing isn't demonstrating, but the police officer said they were demonstrating at the beginning of the video. Either he was mistaken, or you're right yuki. At this point I'm willing to believe either, given proof...those cops seemed like asshats that were barely real police officers.
They aren't real police officers. They're park security.

They were protesting the Judge's decision to outlaw demonstration in the memorial.
lol the memorial was a bad place to hold it then... thus why they were arrested. why so surprized?

they could of held this demonstration on the street nearby. they came knowing they would get arrested. they were rdy with cameras to trick people like you on the net into hating the evil government.

yawn. wise up. there are evils on both sides. learn to pick the role models and the heroes.

I fully understand that, I'm not saying the protesters are infallible, same with the cops.

Their shirts say "Police". They wouldn't say Police if they weren't Police (hinthint: It's illegal to pose as officers of the law).
So, I can set-up a flash-mod dance part in the Capital visitor's center, right?
Sure whatever

You idiot, that's not even a remotely similar. 1 or 2 people dancing in a memorial isn't anything like holding a flash mob inside a government building. A flash mob is much more obtrusive than 1 or 2 people.

It wasn't just two people...

On May28, 2011 Television host Adam Kokesh and several other activists participating in a flash-mob were arrested at the publicly-funded Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Their crime? Silently dancing, in celebration of the first amendment's champion; a clear violation of their right to free-expression. In an excessive use of force, video was captured of Adam being body slammed and placed in a choke for his non-crime.
Good job reading Trifax!

why didn't you say hello to me
Because you're icky.
Hai you.

Bastards. They were told not to dance, and they're all like "Er, why?" then started dancing anyway just to mock the Police Officers. Why the loving Hell can't people just listen to the authorities? They don't want you flailing around in the memeorial, so don't loving do it!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

I never joke about these matters.

Though they call it a flash mob, you have to agree with me that that wasn't a flash mob. This is a flash mob.

this isn't the 60s-70s (where protesting didn't work then anyways)
your cause isn't romanticized by getting yourself arrested. which was clear that was their entire goal here.

society and politics evolve. there is a right way to do things.
as of now they all look like douche bags.

Sitting down is demonstration and you will be arrested for not doing as I say if you continue to sit.
