To be honest, fraps is disgusting. Huge file sizes, bad recording quality, and takes up a lot of processing power. I don't see why badspot removed the replay recorder and exporter.
Fraps is beautiful. The huge file sizes are a result of 100%
uncompressed AVI video, they're going to be huge. Buy a $50 1TB external or get a larger internal if it makes you mad. If it has bad recording quality, you're doing something stupid, which isn't a surprise seeing your intelligence. Yes, it does take up a lot of processing power, that is true, but tell it to record on Half-Size instead of Full-Size or lower your game resolution if your computer sucks that bad.
I ran Fraps 100% fine on a dual-core 2.66GHz and GTS 250 to record Crysis in 720, with no lag. Right now I run Fraps 100% fine on an i7 2.8GHz with GTX 550 to record Just Cause 2, Crysis 2, and even some Nvidia benchmarks without any lag. Fraps is amazing, maybe you should actually try it sometime?
Fraps, in the end, beats every other recorder in every single way imaginable. Uncompressed RGB video is a possibility, with hundreds of other options, even up to recording 200FPS. It costs less than the other garbage out there, you push a button to start recording, and the support has actual humans in it. Anyone who says any different is just a stuck up twit who hates what the masses use.
