Author Topic: Ummm... thanks Badspot I guess?  (Read 2613 times)

So I woke up this morning and went on the forums to browse for a bit and find out I was banned for "spamming/wanting to be banned".
This made no sense to me as I dont remember wanting to be banned. I looked at my recent posts for the offending item but couldnt find anything.

I check just now and I guess he unabanned me so... thanks Badspot for resolving this... I guess... yeah...

Maybe he banned the wrong person.

Same sort of thing happened but with an IP ban on my brother for pirating.
Glad to see things got resolved though.

It may have been that one SMF bug I used to have when I had DSL.

It would say that I was banned for "Trolling/handicap" but when I went on a proxy (it wasn't an account ban, it was an IP ban apparently), and PMed him about it, this was his response:

The ip 65.95.166.127 does not appear to be banned.

So yeah. It was a bug. Happened multiple times. He's the only person that can ban as well, so it's not like someone else was adding and removing it.

It would also happen when he's not even online.

One time he banned me, mistaking me for another person.

I emailed him and it all got fixed
