how is an avatar fad more annoying than topic spam?
topic spam creates a bunch of topics which push the actually good ones down where as avatar fads are just 75x75 images you don't have to look at.
you can also turn on "don't show users avatars" if it's that annoying.

I have noticed an alarming lack of hot fads in this forum.

We must fix this.
