LSD is a much longer trip but DMT is a much more intense trip.
I assume you mean smoked DMT, so I'm going to talk about that. DMT is extremely harsh and unpleasant to inhale. Most people can't even take a full hit. The trip comes on fast, within 30 seconds, and completely disconnects you from reality. For the next few minutes you're unlikely to be responsive to essentially any real sensory input. After about five minutes you'll be conscious again, and the most intense trip of your life will be essentially over.
LSD takes about an hour to come on. It rises to a peak very quickly and in normal dosages you maintain complete control over your body. The high is an intense mind high that comes with mild-to-intense sensory hallucinations. Some of these sensory hallucinations include seeing fractal patterns and colors, time dilation and compression (a minute can seem like a few hours, conversely half an hour can pass by in what seems like seconds),
Synesthesia or blending of senses, auditory hallucinations, and the spins. The 'mind high' that makes LSD so incredible can't be explained, but it often results in some kind of life changing epiphany that many users report being one of the most important experiences of their lives. These effects usually last anywhere from eight to sixteen hours, and can be just as terrifying as they are pleasant. Consuming LSD is best done in a very comfortable
set and setting.
I really don't know what to recommend to you. Time becomes simply irrelevant when on DMT, so your five minute trip could honestly feel like it lasted a year. LSD is actually a whole-day commitment, and both can be absolutely terrifying. Honestly, I'm freaking myself out thinking about which I'd rather do. Whichever you pick, make sure that you're in a 100% comfortable environment with as few worries or stresses as possible.
