She wanted to smoke and was nervous about it so she asked a friend for their advice to comfort herself. It's a normal human reaction to seek approval in others before making seemingly big decisions. The fact that she knows me online is completely irrelevant to human nature.

He didn't say drugs make you cool, he said drugs are cool. And they are. Doing drugs has 0 impact on your coolness, but as an inanimate chemical composition they are inherently cool.
