Author Topic: PS3 freezes after update?  (Read 1478 times)

Yeah this happened a few weeks ago and I made a topic about it aswell, but it seems that on older versiosn of the PS3 freeze and crash or get the Y.L.O.D after an update, this also seems to affect the slim ones aswell, but with overheating issues.

I checked my ps3 and have always kept it in a open area just under my tv and it has not overheated or done soemthing like this to me before. After countless random bootups it has only wokred about 3 times and i was able to play for a bit, so it has not died, nor crashed or even gotten to old. I turned it off even if overheating was the case.

There have been thousands of other claiming that the update must have caused the consoles to break down, and are given the same stuff as me: Freezing then beeping then Y.L.O.D.

Discuss.

I have a PS1.

No updates, no problems. <3

I love how everybody associates the YLOD with the new update, even though it means there is an unspecified hardware problem.

i don't know, I checked for dust, i even vaccumed it and airblasted it aswell. It's still broken so I'll try to see if it's an inner problem.

I don't have this problem.

Mainly because I don't own a PS3.

My non-exsistant PS3 does not do this. because I have an xbox 360.

This makes me wanna buy a 360 rather than a PS3.

Or just use money to upgrade PC.
