blockland demo brick problem

demo version, single player.  it says I start with 150 bricks, but when i press the button to insert it says

You dont have any bricks!
Press  to open brick menu.

there is a space between 'press' and 'to'  indicating something missing.
 
i went to contol menu and set B for brick menu/

following previous instruction i pressed "  " (b) for brick menu and nothing happens.

Kind of weak when you cant even place bricks, how am I supposed to demo this, lol?

(btw i do like AOT bunches and would pay for it {provided it wasnt abandoned and maybe further developed a tad})

Are you sure you assigned the Brick Menu command to B correctly, the B key is the standard toggle for the Brick Menu. You may have reassigned it by mistake.

I can't help you much otherwise, Badspot should have an idea of what the problem is.

in the controls menu press try pressing the defaults button, and set the right configuration in the menu.

If it says "press  to open brick menu" then it can't find the key binding for the brick menu.  You messed up your bindings somehow.  Try binding it again or resetting to the default bindings (press the "Defaults >>" button from the Controls tab of the options menu.
