Author Topic: Map2Dif not working :(  (Read 4761 times)

How do i use it, it closes down after i open it up, how do i get it to work?

you have to use it with hammer...

Can you see the section called mapping help? Or the search button?(I think this was covered.)

sparta NO!!!!
map2dif works with quark and the GG .dif pooper machine

but you have to have the right versions

what the forget was that all about?
I only knew it works with Hammer.
you didn't have to go like: "ZOMG NOOo!"
"IT WORKS WITH THESE"

you could have been more polite and less forgeted up by saying something like:
"yes, you have to use it with either Hammer, Quark, or GG"

This is how I use it.

- Open command prompt
- Drag Map2dif into command prompt
- Press Space in command prompt
- Choose which type your .map is (mine is Quake 3 formate so it's (without quotes) "-q 3"
- Press space again
- Drage the .map file into command prompt
- Press enter

A .diff should be made in the folder where the .map is located

I tried but no .dif appeared in the scenes folder where i put my .map file :(

you know that a .dif is that Microsoft excel file or whatever, right?
Because I didn't, so I thought my dif wasn't appearing, than I right clicked every file and saw that the Microsoft thing was the .dif

Huh? Wha? What'chu talkin' bout' Spartan?

a .dif is a Microsoft Office Excel Data Interchange Format

Look like this:

I don't see any of those :(

what are you using to make your map?

witch program are you using??

I don't think witches use any program  :cookieMonster:
Also, that has already been asked.

Which Map2Dif are you using?
I find that Map2Dif_Plus doesn't work as well.
I suggest Map2Df_DEBUG.

I use Constructor, but i dunno how to use it so i'm not very good :P
