Robot Arena 2 - It's only slow if all the robots have a Havok explosion

This game was pretty fun up until I found out that the best design was a box with four tires, and two motors with spinning death spikes. After that I lost all will to make any other type of bot, when my top bot would just destroy any other robot in five seconds.

Also from what I recall the online mode was pretty bad, horrible lag and what not.

Also, I thought I might let you guys know that this is basically abandonware now. All support towards the game has been dropped since the end of '03.

Yeah I wouldn't post it here regardless, unless officially stated/distributed as freeware by the developer/publisher it's not freeware.

The best way to beat him is a slim robot with a lot of pistons on the front, it takes everything off the front of him.

I'm experimenting with designs now.

Sabertooth is about the hardest middleweight to destroy.

i have a rotating disk with 4 spikes attached to it on teh front of my bot
that doesnt get his flippers off fast enough

That wasn't the bot that I found online was it? I can't remember playing with you, but I know I downloaded a bot like that and easily beat my offline friend while showing it off.

I'm not sure, I think at one point we tried to play but the lag was too bad.

I do know that one of the "ultimate" designs was similar to the bot that I made, but I believe it was actually better somehow.

Found my disc and installed. I have 3 bots that seem up to par. Joined the steam group. Can't wait to have battles.
