Author Topic: Fastest You've Ever Driven  (Read 1629 times)

I was trying to drive on the interstate to get back home before midnight earlier tonight. I'm curious how fast you guys have went in a car.

4 Cylinder '89 Honda Accord
I-80 in Nebraska
11:30-midnight-ish
125 (down a hill, 115 on flat)
115 handled smoothly for lane changes and such, at 125 the wheel started shaking and the engine was very loud.

Too bad three people on these forums own a car.

I've driven up to 0 MPH. Jealous yet?

i've only gone like 90, and that was on a barren country road from farm to farm. damn, i need more reckless endangerment!

I didn't want to look at the speed gauge because I was only six and I was screaming and crying over the steering wheel and my eyes were closed and my cousin was steering for me

Idk, it was my friend's car and I don't know anything about cars but I remember it was blue and it might have been a Pontiac or something.
Capital Blvd. here in Raleigh.
Around 3 p.m.
Between 130 and 140.
Weaved very tightly in and out of traffic.

I drove a golf cart once... at a golf course... in the afternoon... at about ten miles per hour...

It handled like a loving golf cart.

Car: Dad's '09 Chevy Silverado single cab, V6 engine
Location: Somewhere near South Hutchinson, KS (it was out in the country on back roads)
Time of day: about 3:00 P.M.
Speed: 35 MPH
How it handled: Didn't really turn; it was my first time. However, except for my little drifts over to the left or right, she handled great.

Yes, my dad let me drive his truck at 13. He was with me, and this is pretty much what he did with my brother and sister. (except my sister was when he went duck hunting, mine was when we went to get fire wood)

1970 Columbia Tourist III
A slight hill
Probably 7:51pm
About 28mph
Fairly well. It's pretty old so it rattled quite a bit, it was a tad bumpy and the speedometer fritz out a little bit since it's just as old as the vehicle, but all in all it handled pretty well.
